Abstract

According to some sources, environmental education and sports-pedagogical activity are related in several ways. For example: Environmental education can enhance the awareness, knowledge, skills and values of participants in sports-pedagogical activities, and help them develop a positive attitude toward the natural environment. Sports-pedagogical activities can provide opportunities for environmental education, by exposing participants to different natural settings, engaging them in outdoor life experiences, and fostering their appreciation of nature’s beauty and diversity. Environmental education and sports-pedagogical activity can both contribute to the goals of environmental sustainability, by promoting healthy lifestyles, responsible consumption, social justice, and ecological citizenship.
