The origin of this art is undoubtedly parallel to the origin of photography, videography, and further the use of technology and the internet as Media. Before the Internet, Videography, and other digital technology, photography took place in mainstream art as a medium. Though photography initially was used only for references and further it leads to use in painting also which is called mixed media. The paper traces the significant role of photography in the painting. Way, harking back to the 15th – 16th -century artist like Vermeer, Durer were utilizing the Camera obscura to take the realistic painting. Yet, just the creation of photography in the mid-nineteenth century that the universe of painting got another course which was investigated by artists like Degas, Manet , the surrealist Artist like Rene Magritte, Dali, and Artist from dada Movement like Duchamp , utilized photography for their references. Further, Pop art and Photorealism was the art development that depended completely on photography [1].
