Abstract

This study identifies the lagging rate in the adoption using extended UTAUT2. The responses were obtained from 387 HR employees of BFSI sector in Metropolitan cities of India through non-probabilistic purposive sampling. The results suggests that performance expectancy, hedonic motivation and data availability have a direct impact on intention to use HR analytics. In contrast, effort expectancy, social influence, quantitative self-efficacy and habit had no influence on behavioral intention. Analysis is done through structural equation modelling and hierarchical regression techniques.  Furthermore, the moderating effect of resistance to change has been explicated. This study builds on to the literature on HR analytics adoption. By focusing on factors that affect adoption intention of HR analytics, organizations can strengthen a robust employee relationship hence promoting acceptance of HR analytics among HR professionals.
