Abstract
This study is a review of 30 different papers that were aimed at understanding the causes of attrition of fresh and new employees in hotels during pre covid time. This study is an attempt to compile various elements of job satisfaction which is reported to be one of the most prominent factors for attrition and job jumping amongst new entrants in the hotels.
There were a variety of reasons that different researchers have highlighted. For example, for some it was financial benefits and for others it was work environment. Amongst other reasons, were job security, organisational commitment, organisational socialisation, working hours, job burnout etc. that influenced employee turnover especially those employees who were new to the industry. This review highlights the mentioned reasons and provides an insight to researchers to conduct future studies on these parameters especially when the industry is going to restart from SARS COV-2 pandemic[1-2].
