A STUDY ON THE PERCEPTION OF EMPLOYERS TOWARDS JOB-READINESS OF GRADUATES AT THE ENTRY-LEVEL

Abstract
Purpose: The demands and expectations of employers may differ from one organization to another. This study focuses on the employers’ expectations and develops sustainable human capital for the job industry.
Methodology: The researcher implemented a descriptive design for the research study.
The researcher designed an online tool with help of structured and unstructured questions. The primary data was collected through online mode from fifty industrial employers in and around the Chennai region of Tamil Nadu. The method of sampling involved selecting the sample elements using an accidental sampling technique under the non-probability sampling method.
Findings: This article explored at the various nuances and employability skills that employers envisaged at the time of scrutiny of graduates. The selection of candidates for the desired job market depends on the graduates who are well equipped with all the required skills. This research study identified various job skills expected by employers from the graduates at the entry-level.
Originality/Value: The study highlights the expectations of employers and job readiness of the graduates who are at the entry-level to get into job industries.
