COVID 19 has not only hit the physical wellbeing across the globe but has impacted the psychological wellbeing of the healthy people also.
The aim of research is to investigate the effect of negative emotions on psychological wellbeing of the students; to investigate the impact of wellbeing on the perceived physical health of the students. It investigates the moderating role of gender and exercise status in the relationship between psychological wellbeing and perceived physical health
The questionnaires were administered to 200 students. Analysis was done using AMOS SEM. Multigroup moderation analysis was used to investigate the moderation effect.
Negative emotions adversely affect the students’ psychological wellbeing and this further impacts their perceived physical health during the Pandemic. Physical exercise helped the students shape a better perception of their perceived physical health . The groups based on gender did not show any difference in the proposed relationship between psychological wellbeing and perceived physical health
Students should spend some time towards physical exercise, so as to improve their wellbeing and perceived physical health. Mindfulness, Yoga or any other intervention technique can be used for doing away with negative emotions and strengthening the well being.
